Who Am I?

My Mission

I’ve always enjoyed making things, through writing stories and taking photos. A few years ago, I went to a workshop with a group of friends on making glass-fused pendants. I fell in love with the warmth of glass as an artistic medium. Yet, I live in a condo with no room for a regular sized kiln. I researched and bought a microwave kiln that would fuse glass in about 10 minutes. The beauty is that you can quickly view the finished product.

I use dichroic glass as the colours change when looked at in different lights. The glass has a reflective colour and a transmitted colour and comes in many different textures and patterns. I use 3-4 layers of glass to bring out the colours and give depth to the design. The bottom layer is a solid colour, then I design the colour layer and add a top layer of clear or patterned glass.

I like sharing travel stories with my photography and my pendant designs. Each piece includes the palette of a remembered landscape, waterfall or flower. Some pieces are simple and affordable; others have a beaded necklace to complement the pendant design. I also have interchangeable clasps so you can wear the necklace on its own, or with a different pendant.

New Zealand was my first home for nearly 30 years.  However, I decided to travel the world for six months to experience as much as I could. While in London, England, I met my partner Stuart which completely changed the trajectory of my life.  We lived in the UK for five years before emigrating to Toronto, Canada which has been our home ever since.

My family is still mostly in New Zealand and I have life-long friends that have also kept close to home and so we frequently visit to catch up and stay connected with both the people and the landscape I grew up with. We are both keen photographers and when we travel around New Zealand, we try and capture the essence of what the country has to offer. You can join me on my life journey to find harmony with nature and to feel special when you wear a piece of my jewelry. I want you to be inspired.

Thank you for reading my story and viewing my pieces. Enjoy!

Extraordinary Experiences

I use dichroic glass as the colours change when looked at in different lights. I use 3-4 layers of glass to bring out the colours and give depth to the design. Once fired, there’s a surprise in how the colours meld together – hence no piece will ever look the same.

My Core Values

There’s a story behind every piece of jewellery. I match them to the photographs from nature that inspire the design. Each design is unique and made to help you express your personal style, creativity, and individuality.
